Henley-on-Thames, a picturesque, quintessentially English market town, situated on the banks of the River Thames and located in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Henley lies approximately 40 miles west of central London and offers excellent transport links, ideal for commuting to London or other large towns and cities in the South of England. Crossrail will connect Reading with the City of London via Twyford mainline station in 2018.

The Henley area is ideal for young families as it boasts a number of good state and independent schools for all ages. Gillotts School in Henley has been voted 4th in the Sunday Times guide to Secondary schools that don’t have a sixth form and Langtree School in Woodcote was voted 7th (2014).

Henley-on-Thames is also the ideal town for retirement, with its extensive range of amenities including a theatre, a cinema, Phyllis Court country club, numerous quality eateries and various riverside pursuits available such as walking, rowing, sailing and canoeing.

Henley-on-Thames hosts some fantastic events throughout the year including Henley Royal Regatta, The Henley Festival and Henley Fringe in July, Rewind in August, Henley Literary Festival in late September and award winning Henley Living Advent Calendar in December.

Henley-on-Thames has a population of approximately 11,000 and has a variety of houses from beamed cottages to modern town houses, riverside apartments to large country estates, their is plenty of choice on offer.
